Editorial work for Beirut Today

Beirut Today is an independent, community-based platform looking to create a comfortable space for back and forth discussion on the issues that matter in Lebanon. Below is some editorial work i worked on that discuss a range of topics from lack of trust in the government to the harsh realities of economic collapse.
A post discussing the fashion industry at the beginning of the economic collapse.
A statistic on the inhumane conditions Syrian refugees are living in.
An illustration in solidarity with the Lebanese band "Mashrou' Leila" who had been banned from performing in Lebanon for lyrics.
An illustration about all the suicides that had happened because of the economic collapse.
During the protests against the government, many protesters had been shot and some had even lost their eye.
This is an illustration that was part of an article discussing the horrific Kafala system, which dehumanizes domestic workers and strips them from their rights. During the economic collapse they started facing even harsher conditions, many abandoned on the streets without money or food.
"International Women's Day". On the left it reads "What we do" versus on the right "What we deserve". The sign she's holding on the left says "Our revolution is feminist"
